The Siamese is one of the first distinctly recognized Oriental Cats. The Siamese are named after Siam, the old name of Thailand. Siamese are most notable for their common white fur and darker-colored face. They are also notable for them having blue eyes more commonly than other eye colors. In ancient times, Siamese could only be owned by royalty.
